How to play
- Black plays first on a 9×9 board; a group dies the moment its last liberty is filled.
- You may not place a stone that leaves your own group without liberties — unless that very placement captures.
- Ko is kept as one forbidden point: after a single-stone capture, the immediate recapture is refused for one turn.
- Two passes in a row end the game; Chinese area counting then scores stones plus surrounded empty regions.
- Black pays 6.5 komi, which is why a game of Go here can never end in a tie.
