About Number Match
Number Match on ito.gg brings the classic digit-clearing puzzle to your browser with no download or sign-up required. Every UTC day serves an identical daily layout generated from the calendar date, so you can solve the same number sequence as friends who open the game on that day.
Your objective is to wipe the grid completely clean by pairing matching numbers or digits that combine to ten. Pairs can be found side by side, stacked in columns, along diagonals, or wrapping from the end of one row to the start of the next, provided no active numbers stand between them.
When valid moves run out, the add-rows feature copies every remaining number onto the bottom of the grid, up to five times per session. You can also explore freeform practice boards with fresh random deals whenever you want to test new pairing strategies.
FAQ
Which number pairs can be removed from the board?
You can remove two numbers if they are identical or if their sum equals ten. Both numbers must also have an unobstructed line between them horizontally, vertically, diagonally, or wrapping from the end of one row to the beginning of the next.
What controls are available on desktop and mobile devices?
On mobile or with a mouse, simply tap or click two numbers to select and pair them. On a physical keyboard, use the Arrow keys to move the cursor, Enter or Space to choose a number, H for a hint, A to add rows, and Escape to cancel your selection.
How does the Add Rows button work?
Tapping Add Rows duplicates every surviving number still on the grid and appends them in sequence to the bottom. Each run allows up to five add-rows, providing new adjacent neighbours when no moves remain on the board.
How do daily boards and practice mode differ?
The daily mode generates a single synchronized board each UTC day at 00:00 UTC, tracking your win streak across calendar days. Practice mode deals fresh random layouts at any time for relaxed, unlimited play.
Is my puzzle progress saved if I leave the page?
Yes. Your active daily board, cleared pairs, rows removed, and daily win streaks are stored directly in your browser local storage, allowing you to return and finish your daily puzzle later.
